Margot Canzian is a visual researcher, artist, photographer and documentarist. Her work explores exile, belonging, identity and migration themes deeply rooted in her own personal history and shaped by her background in art history and clinical psychology.

Blending photography, video and narrative storytelling, her practice gives voice to both intimate and collective histories, drawing from lived experience to explore what it means to belong, to be displaced, and to carry an identity across borders.

She is currently working on her first documentary on exile, alongside a project exploring motherhood and the experience of discrimination revealing the delicate and powerful ways our lives are shaped by care, identity and society.
